About
Charlotte Flower Chocolates is the bringing together of two passions - foraging for wild food and flavour, and delicious craft and ethical chocolate. Based on the south shore of Loch Tay, Charlotte is surrounded by a wonderful natural larder that goes through a natural seasonal cycle of flavours.
Charlotte started the business in 2007, and following the seasonal changes in flavours, she made fresh cream ganache filled chocolates weekly, using four wild flavours in season at that time. She also made a range of longer shelf life products - bars, dipped leathers, caramels - that were all made in small batches and so the range varied over the year.
Charlotte retired from chocolate making at the end of October 2025, but still loves to share what has been learned over the years about both chocolate and foraging, and does a range of events - tastings, foraging walks and chocolate making workshops. If there are any events in the diary, they can be found on the website - but if these don't suit you, do get in touch and we can arrange different dates.
The chocolates we use
Over the last 10 years or so there has been a revolution in chocolate making and there are many craft bean to bar makers all over the UK. We use a range of chocolates from different makers - when we meet a new chocolate that we like, we contact the makers to find out if they can supply us with small quantities in couveture form. The makers we use include:
- Duffy Sheardown
- Chocolate Tree
- BareBones
- Chocolat Madagascar
- Original Beans
- Pump Street Chocolate
- NearyNogs chocolate
