October delivery details

The next few weeks are going to be difficult in two ways; one is trying to navigate the postal strikes timetabled, and the other is trying to navigate a rather exciting but full travel diary for Charlotte.  This will be particularly difficult for managing both production and shipping of the fresh seasonal chocolates as we like to dispatch these freshly made, and it takes 2 to 3 days to make them.

I realise that I am in danger of making this all seem very complicated, but one of the problems with being away is that I will be monitoring orders intermittently rather than regularly throughout the day.  The best rule of thumb I can suggest is that you give us at least a week's notice for your orders and we will work it out from there; however, I thought the following might help as well, and really is especially relevant for the fresh seasonal chocolates.  We have a stock of all the other chocolates and so can be more flexible around delivery of those

Week beginning 10th October:

I am on Colonsay at their Food and Drink Festival until Wednesday, and so we will be making that week's fresh seasonal chocolates on my return, and they will be ready for dispatch on the Friday 14th October.  These will be suitable for delivery dates up to 18th October (postal strike day is 13th October that week)

Week beginning 17th October

There is a postal strike on 20th October, and so we are reluctant to post on Wednesday as parcels might get stuck in the system; so that week we will be posting on the Friday (21st October).  These will be suitable for delivery dates up to 25th October

Week beginning 24th October

This is the week I head to London and Paris, leaving on Wednesday 26th October.  We will make a batch early in that week, which will be dispatched from Wednesday 26th (there is a postal strike on the 25th).  These will be suitable for delivery up to 1st November

Week beginning 31st October

I do not return from Paris until late Tuesday evening (1st Nov) and so we will have orders ready for dispatch on Thursday 3rd November.  These will be suitable for deliveries up to 8th November

Moving into November, the strike dates are weekly and quite complicated; however, I will not be travelling in November so hopefully will be better able to navigate this obstacle course!!
