Flavour
This is a wonderful collaboration with Aberfeldy-based Glen Lyon Coffee; back in October Glen Lyon hosted an event and a group of us did the hard work of matching chocolates with coffee! We had six or so of each and after much munching, crunching, wondering when the head ache would kick in, we finally agreed on three pairings, making white, milk and plain chocolate bars. You can buy these separtely, but if you would like to try all three, then we have created a trio for you.
Latte: a lovely Madagascan white chocolate from Chocolat Madagascar, and a very delicious coffee from Uganda.
Cafe au lait: an amazing 60% milk chocolate made by Pump Street Chocolate, using cocoa beans grown in Haiti; this has been matched with lovely coffee from Nicaragua.
Espresso: another amazing chocolate from Pump Street, this time a 72% plain chocolate from the Solomon Islands; the coffee beans are Karuthi AD from Kenya.
