Thin patterned discs of chocolate, in a small square gift box. There are 100g of thins, usually 10 to 12 discs in a box.
The couveture for this chocolate is made by Duffy Sheardown of Red Star Chocolates, in Lincolnshire. He makes small batches of chocolate from beans directly sourced from farmers. For this chocolate he buys the whole crop of beans from a small island in Panama direct from the farmer and pays extra for the lovely beans that are well fermented and dried. The first stage in their journey to Cleethorpes is a canoe ride across a lagoon! Duffy's describes the flavours in the chocolate as 'light cherries & liquorice with leather & raisins in the aftertaste'. This is our favourite chocolate in the workshop, heavenly to work with and the aromas make us spontaneously smile.
